We would like to introduce someone who is special to us. Someone both humble and generous, whose talents never stop amazing us:

our stylist-photographer Sofia Mokkasin.  

                  

We met Sofia a few years ago at “Maison & Objet” trade show in Paris, where we were exhibiting some of our early creations.

At that time, she was running a vintage furniture and decoration e-shop in Sweden, where she lives.

She liked our style and decided to become our partner by offering Numero 74 products in her shop.

She also happened to be passionate about photography too and would express it through staging and capturing the products she offered on her website.

When we saw how amazing the pictures of our products looked, we were in pure admiration of her work!

We were so amazed that we had to offer her to collaborate with us for our photographical needs in the long term.

And this is how the magic of encounters happened!

 

We love the artistic and unique way she captures our creations.

We are truly touched by her sensitivity; her creativity simply seems to be unlimited. During a photoshoot, she pays attention to every detail of the scene.

She has an eye for creating a particular atmosphere, by choosing original venues, vintage, nature or home-made objects that complement our creations beautifully.

“When I watch her work, I recognise myself, while being totally unable to do what she does. it resonates incredibly with me.”, Tara recalls tenderly about Sofia.

 

More than our photographer, she is part of the Numero 74 tribe, and her family too! Three years ago, we invited her, her husband Kristo, as well as their four kids to join us on our annual team trip to Thailand.

It was so lovely to spend time together and get to know each other a little better. During that week, they came to meet our artisans at our main workshop in Chiang Mai.

We all went on various excursions and spent some time in Tara’s home, just like a big family.

Some activities were naturally improvised such as arts and crafts or graphic design brainstorming sessions.

When Sofia took some pictures of us, we would barely notice her.

And what’s amazing is that she only took one shot and it was always a great one!

 

Sharing precious moments with people we love and appreciate,

that’s what Numero 74’s lifestyle is about.
